De Mucho Colores
As an artist my routine is to carefully layout all my paints after I have planned my painting. I know what colors are very unique and even what brands are unique to what I want to accomplish with my painting. I know how they perform and what they look like when they dry. I put them all together slowly for the purpose of creating something beautiful. It is not just for beauty sake it is for a bigger purpose. The plan is to create something that captures the viewer’s spirit and transforms, illuminates, educates, inspires and/or motivates. For anyone that is an artist and creator inevitably the viewer will always have some sort of response. The more beautiful and complex the piece the bigger response.
As the church we are like Joseph’s tunic of many colors. I have never seen Joseph’s coat but I can imagine the colors we’re all chosen specifically and then over time they were carefully embroidered together. Finally they were presented as a coat that he wore.
We are unique colors knitted together. We are being presented to those of the unseen world. All to bring glory to the creator in the end as it shows us in Revelation.
Ephesians 3:10-11 NLT
God's purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. [11] This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.
