Rough Around The Edges
White Oak Burl - A beautiful piece to stand alone.
White oak is a North Carolina native tree. Standing in maturity at more than 80-100 feet this Quercus alba slowly grows into a massive, monstrous shade tree. A protector, a guardian of the four corners and a human ally it is a deciduous tree in the beech family that is native to forested areas of eastern North America. In North Carolina it can be found primarily in the piedmont but also in lower elevations of the mountains and the coastal plain and prefers dry Mystic Forest.
