20x24 Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas
Standing in front of the sea horse exhibit at our local aquarium, I find myself captivated by this little fella. Defenseless by design, it wraps it's tail around the security of a seagrass blade to anchoring himself. Head down, in what seems to me to be a symbol of submissiveness, he seems content. My thoughts began to meditate on the following verse in Isaiah 45:8 -- You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the LORD, have created it.
In the sea of Your great love, You God, hold even the littlest in your hand. All for your glory. Thank you.
