On our way back up from Key West, my bride and I decided to enjoy a day visit at a waterfront state park in The Keys. What was once an operational two level bridge now stands as a portion of the bridge for visitors to hike and simply enjoy an extraordinary view. Getting to see the view meant that we had to hike a rocky path with typical Florida vegetation on both the sides. As we made our way, I couldn't help but to notice a small bird sitting contently in one of the trees. A tree with branches all pointing in the same direction from the constant winds. A tree still deeply rooted after many storms. A tree servicing as a resting place for those who come. A hiding place from the scorching sun. God is for us the "One and Only Tree" who can meet our every need.
