The Bible has many stories that I would like to call BIG stories. Noah’s ark, David and Goliath, the fish that swallow Jonah whole. Due to their largeness, we can easily miss the small, obscure stories - the tiny minnows.

Tiny minnows like the story of Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, who burned strange fire in the tabernacle and lost their lives immediately afterward when the flames from God‘s presence consumed them (Lev. 10:1-2). The passage in which Gideon, that revered man of God, created a golden ephod, and Israel worshiped it (Judges 8:22-27). Or the man in the parable of the wedding feast, who failed to dress for the occasion was punished ever so severely for his fashion faux pas (Matt. 22:1-14).

Large or small, God has a story for us all. Cup minnows in hands. Savory them and then hide them in your heart.
