I heard and felt her heart when she looked at the painting of the EI bridge after I told her the title is Heading Home. She went on to share with me, “I’ve never had a home to return to. As I move into the new, this painting will hang in my home as a perfect reminder of this place I now call home.” We agreed in that moment this painting belonged  to her. We left the gallery and I sat in our conversation with thoughts about Jesus. He never called this place home. He definitely never stayed in one place for very long. Perhaps He knew in his heart that home was never intended to be a place here on earth. It’s the same for us too, friends. From the beginning home always meant to be one to come. As believers we cross the bridge from here to our eternal home with God our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We are “HEADING HOME!”
