“Not So Blue” One of the first crabs I painted was titled, “Charleston Blue.” It hung in the home of a dear friend in Isle of Palms, SC. While the house was rented one summer, the owners returned --- minus one piece of art. You guessed it, mine. It was the first time my art was taken by someone it rightly didn’t belong and I was mad. With time and a lot of prayers, I forgave the person. I decided to paint another painting to replace the one stolen. The reality is all my paintings reside in my heart. I titled the second crab, “Not So Blue.” It was my way of looking at the not-so-good events that come in and out of my life and choosing to allow God to teach me how better to live my own life. Turns out, I liked the way this painting turned out much better.
